Bye Bye video (102,348) by RL from USA
Does anyone know who each person in the pictures are towards the end of the Bye Bye video? There are a couple of pics of people I don't recognize. Just curious.

Lambs request (102,347) by Edward from USA
As thirsty as we all are for her music, I'm loving the anticipation. I would actually prefer "The Rarities 2" first.

Lambs request (102,346) by Bobby A from United States
I am just wondering what is this album MC talked about last year that Lambs have been asking her to release. Could it be a jazz or gospel album? Maybe a dance album? Billboard just announced that Warner Bros is launching a dance label. This is a genre that MC has had a successful track record for 30 years. It would probably sell better than a jazz or gospel.

At least Mariah got the video van guard award in 2008 at the MTV Japan awards.

Mariah should be given the video vanguard award. My favorite is Heartbreaker but Honey isn't too far behind. I also love the Through The Rain video. You know who else has not gotten the video vanguard award? Paula Abdul. I think it's a shame Nikki got it before MC and Paula.

MTV 90's (102,341) by Lainsky from Philippines
Most people are not watching TV nowadays because of the internet. Well, last night, I missed browsing the channel and stopped at the MTV channel. They were showing the 50 Greatest Heartbreak Songs of the '90s on their MTV '90s Hits program. There's Celine Dion, Whitney, Bryan Adams, All-4-One, and of course, Mariah Carey at No. 2 with "Without You", and Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart is at No.1. It brings a lot of memories. I remember I was waiting for any Mariah videos every chance I got. But the most memorable was when Honey was released. My jaw dropped seeing the new Mariah then. That music video remains her best for me. The same goes with the Butterfly album, the other single videos, especially Breakdown and The Roof almost. What a throwback weekend.

Ain't No Other Fan (102,340) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Yes, I think we all know that is one of the reasons Mariah's voice has detoriated, we are well aware that Mariah smokes weed. But I love her carefree behaviour on stage while doing it.

I Still Believe (102,339) by Bobby A from United States
There is something special about MC's cover of I Still Believe. Listening to my ISB 12 inch brought me to post today.

1. It has to be MC's most real, carefree, and casual vocal ever. She sings with such ease without over using her higher register.
2. It was the combination of R&B and Pop that was highlight of MC's delivery.
3. If you have the CD maxi single or 12 inch versions, then you have something rare in your hands. In fact, there were five completely distinct versions released. The ISB remixes are by far one of MC's best remixes.
4. MC's cover of ISB was her way of paying tribute to her mentor and former boss, Brenda K. Starr.
5. Lastly, MC's use of the Pure Imagination interpolation was a brilliant and genius choice for the remix melody.

Ain't No Other Fan (102,338) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I absolutely disagree. I don't want to see a high Mariah on stage. It's not my business what people do take privately but on stage a pro should not take anything. Just embarrassing and not needed at all. Even the Stones are living healthy nowadays on tour. Lol.

Ain't No Other Fan (102,337) by Bill from the UK
This is a pretty idiotic suggestion. Smoking of any kind is well known for having extremely adverse effects on the vocal cords, lungs, and throat and can lead to long-term throat and lung injury. Shortness of breath, constant dehydration, loss of vocal range, and even irreversible damage are all other negative by-products of smoking.

Stacey, your post got me thinking again. Why didn't MC release more remix albums during her height of her career? They would have done extremely well. We have only gotten one official remix album - The Remixes.

Mariah and JLo always release an album the same year (102,333) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
JLo is planning to release her new album this year, This Is Me... Now. So I guess this year would be the year where Mariah would release her album too. I've been observing far too long that somehow Mariah and JLo would always release an album the same year. Maybe it's coincidence or their management wanted to capitalize their rivalry for marketing. Here's the recap:
1. On The Six, Rainbow (1999)
2. JLo, Glitter (2001)
3. This Is Me Then, Charmbracelet (2002)
4. Rebirth, The Emancipation (2005)
5. Brave (October 2007) E=MC2 original plan was to release end of 2007 but was pushed back to 2008
6. AKA, Me I Am Mariah (2014)

Ain't No Other Fan (102,332) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I have just watched the YouTube video made by Ain't No Other Fan, the video name is long, but here it comes: "The one where Mariah Carey got *high* and proved her voice."

It's from her Jamaican concert a few years back, and yes, we all know she was influenced by something, and it was not Chardonnay, darlin'.

The performance is a mess, but hell, Mariah was so at ease that evening that she hit high notes and had runs she hadn't done in years and haven't done since. I can admit that I have taken the same substance as Mariah that evening sometimes, aan it really eases you off, makes you feel comfortable, down to earth, high in confidence and really good about yourself.

I have watched the video, and all I can say is, if that is what make our girl Mariah relax and hit those high notes and runs, we know she can make, well hell, she should really hit them joints every show, relax, and show them girls and boys how you really sing.

Remixes (102,331) by Stacey from USA
Welcome to the club, Randy and Eddie. I replace album versions for remixes all the time. I love some remixes better than the album version. The Morales remix of Honey took out my speakers too. I found a fan made radio edit that if it weren't a digital copy, it would have worn out long ago, lol. I remember when my sister got me a CD-5 for ABMB. It was like discovering a whole new world of music I honestly had no idea existed. Talk about receiving the ultimate Christmas present. That was it. We can say what we want about the current state of Mariah's career in 2023. But there is no denying her talent is unmatched by anyone on Earth. Add in her remixes, her career is unmatched by anyone in the freaking universe. Excuse me while I go and blast Honey Morales Remix and ruin a few more speakers.

Remixes (102,329) by "MariahHater" from Hell
So true. I wish she could create new remixes again in true Mariah power and fashion. Her remixes have a life of its own. I love her Pop and R&B stuff but c'mon (in Mariah's voice) hoodriah is caviar ratchet. Early this day, I was listening to AA remix album for the first time and I must really say it slaps. I hope she will consider to release it this this decade especially the HATEU remix. I don't really get tired listening to this.

What if Charmbracelet had a different colour? (102,328) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I'm listening to Charmbracelet on vinyl atm, and every song is its own moment, and gorgeous lyrically and vocally. I pose the question: what of Charmbracelet had another colour other then taupe as its theme? If you couldn't choose taupe, what colour would you rebrand this album with to give life and the acceptance to this beautiful album?

Remixes (102,325) by Randy from USA
I don't know if I told y'all this but I started replacing the album tracks with the rap or remix version of her songs. I put the Bad Boy Remix of Honey with Mase and the Lox as track one of Butterfly. I also switched out The Roof and Breakdown with the longer rap versions that were on the maxi-singles. I replaced Fantasy with the Bad Boy mix. That's the one with both the pop hook and r&b hook and ODB. I replaced Obsessed with the one with Gucci Mane and replaced Up Out My Face with the one with Nicki's rap. I also replaced Angel's Cry for the duet version with Neyo. On my Club/Hip Hop playlist I have My All/Stay Awhile. On my Dance playlist I absolutely live for the 13 minute Through The Rain Mix Hex Hector did, the 12 minute Fantasy David Morales Mix, the My All Classic Club Mix (even though I'm sick of feel ya body, feel ya body, feel ya body), I also have both the I Still Believe mixes (the kings mix and the club mix). Finally the Don't Forget About Us Ralphi Rosario & Craig J Mix is awesome.
