Mariah's memoir (94,620)
by Scott from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah said very early on in her career (First Vision), that she was way more inspired by gospel than rnb. Walter said years later that she listened to rnb 24/7 and her music was always going to go that way. I've always wondered if she always did love rnb and if the record company just made her say certain things at the start of her career. Maybe the memoir will clarify this.

He did apologise unlike Trump who has said far worse things. Nick is extremely smart and I know he can do better.
Brad, there is no need to bring his children into this, they love daddy and he is doing pretty good job with them.
Btw he won’t go nowhere, Diddy has already offered him a job. He just needs a really good pr management to spin this shit around. We all do mistakes and we learn except for Trump, he never learns.

Correction; Mariah used "irregardless" in A No No because Gretchen uses it and later goes off on a tirade about taking down a dictator in Mean Girls, and Stella referred to herself as the Russian dictator.

There are ballads on MIAM and Caution (Cry. and Camouflage and Portrait). She includes at least one ballad on every album she releases because she knows the Lambily would revolt if she didn't. Mariah prefers mid-tempo grooves and so do I.

Nick is corny at, and I'm so glad Mariah is no longer married to him. Mariah's marriage to Nick did more damage to her public image than Stella and the Rockefeller Center debacle, NYE debacle, and opening night of The Elusive Chanteuse Show combined. He's always been a joke, and that's why everyone thought their marriage was a hoax/joke.

Mariah's current look (94,611)

The pics MC has posted on Insta. The loose curls. The darker hair colour. The earth tone make up. This is the look I've always longed for. It complements her features so much.

How can Nick say such things? Is it for publicity, bad press better than no press? Or is he really dumb? What nonsense. Nick Cannon should know that sometimes silence is golden. Like so often money goes to head.

See ya, Nick (94,609)
by Brad from USA

Mariah said it best, of course, when she sang "can't even raise yourself from playing the clown each night". Once again, he is trying to tread waters the depths of which he does not know. Nick, ya need to leave the history lessons to "Skippy", k? Wasn't it your big mouth that got you fired from working for MC Enterprises a number of years ago? Yeaaah I remember that radio interview with Big Boy. I do. See this is one smart Jew, k? Looks like I didn't cause that trouble neither, but you sure did with your careless mouth. Be humble and get a real education not some Farrakhan hate rhetoric. Then go take care of your children and be an informed father figure for them instead of an ignorant clown.

I would bury myself before agreeing that Dreamlover is a ballad, also.
I do not even think Mariah the Queen of the Ballad anymore, however. She seems to have abandoned the format in the early-to mid-noughties.

That's right Bill. You pointed out that So Blessed, Can't Let Go and Can You Hear Me? were all seen in her Twitter video. It doesn't make sense now to me to just release a remastered version of Mariah Carey to celebrate her 30 years in the business. I really feel MC30 is going to remind of why she is the Songbird Supreme. Let's hope we get some new songs too.

This might make for an interesting lawsuit. Nick doesn't seem to care about his business in the pursuit of knowledge as he frames it though, but what a hill the leave his hat on, I will say. He should be allowed to have controversial guests on, but not wise in the short term. I can't wait to hear the dialog this weekend with Professor Carr and Karen Hunter on her podcast.

Nice idea. I was never happy with the original Ballads compilation as Emotions the album wasn't represented at all, despite having some of her best ballads ever. And I'll be in the cold, cold ground before I recognise How Much as a ballad.

Dear Nick (94,602)
by Andrew from the United Kingdom
| |
|
|
"Anyone who knows me knows that I have no hate in my heart nor malice intentions."
I think you mean "malicious" intentions. Clearly by your own standards you surely have so-called "hate" as you seem to have 'affirmed' that Jews are "factually wicked"?
"I do not condone hate speech nor the spread of hateful rhetoric."
You do not condone other people but when it's you doing it, it's okay?
"We are living in a time when it is more important than ever to promote unity and understanding. Until then..."
Until when? I thought the time was now? Are you faint? Did your latest baby mama not pack your lunch for you?
"I hold myself accountable for this moment."
You were actually fired for *not* holding yourself accountable, i.e., admitting wrongdoing and apologising for it.
"My intentions are only to show that as a beautiful human species we have way more commonalities than differences"
A beautiful human species? As in... Homo sapiens? Don't try to sound clever. It sounds about as impressive as when you rap. Or tell jokes.
"We All Family."
No we *are* not. I would hate to be related to you - you who mouths off about Jews like a little kid to impress the big boys when they are around then attends BLM riots to cry victimhood. O the irony. The hypocrisy.
I hate cancel culture but I will forgive myself this one, this time. This time is just tastes too sweet.

And basing this on what? You have figured it out using what evidentiary support? Or is it just a meaningless, nonsensical guess? Hope not. Please show your evidence and how you have come to this rather specific prediction. Would just love to read it.

Agree that we need physical/digital versions of whatever is being celebrated so we can own and treasure them forever. Imagine if she does an album a week. This coming Friday, the debut with rarities, videos, remixes, etc. Next Friday Emotions gets its turn etc.

I think I have figured the MC30 mystery out. What is Mariah Carey known for? Yes, her ballads. So, I feel we are getting another Ballads Collection from her first 3 albums with demo tracks and leftover tracks from those albums to celebrate her 30 years in the business.

"According to BMI, Mariah registered 2 songs written with Barry Mann, one half of the famous songwriting duo Mann-Weil with his wife Cynthia Weil."
"Breaking The Chains" "Can You Hear Me?"
I took this from some fandom site so not sure how true it is but hopefully we're going to get to hear it
