Perhaps in the back row you can see less of how much of a shit show this is compared to fifth? And Brenda's team did due diligence and actually worked those promo games. Mariah's team did nothing this year and released nothing new. So in a way Brenda deserves it. By the way, I re-watched Mimi's AppleTV+ Christmas thingy from a couple of years ago. Not many saw it, but my niece loved it. Oh look Mariah has legs and arms and they're moving. She looks happy and animated. It's amazing how just a couple of years has changed for her. Maybe I'm just being paranoid (our resident annoying cute friend Edward here thinks I am). It seems now that we are always going to be in a period of her good vocals and the next year with her having bad vocals. With each album since TEOM her vocals declined some period of time between albums during live events. Also, I want to go on the record and say that her vocals during The Angels Advocate Tour were out of this world. I saw MC in Atlanta and I was blown away with high notes she was hitting that night. Vocals getting better (104,439) by Terna from Nigeria I think with the recent voice issues, she's begun to get more serious than in the past where those opinions stem from. As a singer, you can't afford to not acknowledge your voice needs absolute care and attention and I think she gets it now. Constant singing is also exercise for the voice especially if she's resting well afterwards. She's gotten much better than that first show in terms of tone and flexibility, the ease of singing is also coming back hence the absence of staccato. I do hope it gets even better. She starts the first show dry and then as shows continue, she warms up. She recorded much of TEOM after the Charmbracelet tour as she said it left her voice in a good place. Number one (104,436) by jaker20 from US It can't just be this one song. It's everything else, the little things that helps and matters. Two years ago she had had that AppleTV+ thingy with Jhud and Ariana, and then the year later the second special with Khalid and Kirk. They're cute little songs here and there, not huge hits, but they contribute. All these little things helps. It can't just be this one song. She has all year to prepare, but has no new visuals nor project this year. I always say that Caution paved the way to AIWFC's massive resurgence. The album was not a huge hit, but it gained her a whole new young fans which contributed to a whole lot. Next year I expect the new album. And then a bunch of new videos, maybe for Miss You Most At Christmas, like a real video with a classy intriguing story, not those cheap $10 videos. Good for Brenda, but I'm sorry but her song is just awful. It's neither here nor there. But good for her, her team is outsmarting Mariah's. (Wednesday 6 December 2023; 17:25)
