Mariah Carey Vs. Beyonce' Knowles (99,107) by Terna from Nigeria
Again L.A Reid shows us he's not quite in touch with reality and has lost his spark for him to even suggest this versus. Like is he trying to embarrass Beyonce'? She should be should be facing Rihanna instead. Haha.

Re: Do you like Mariah? (99,102) (99,106) by T from USA
I agree. I thought signing with [Roc Nation] and releasing [Caution] was the turn around we were all waiting for. She was reminding me of Daydream/Butterfly Mariah in her sexy classiness. Her image was flawless at the beginning of 2018 right up until the end of 2019. She's gone backwards toward those dreaded Stella days. We can blame Stella all we want but what if Mariah can keep it together for only short amounts of time? What if the lambs are faced with the possibility that every few years Mariah starts reverting to immaturity.

Body Under the Bridge (99,105) by RibbonB from USA
Has anyone heard that week old mashup with Adele and Megan thee Stallion? I actually love it. I barely like Water Under the Bridge and hated Megan's song Body, but the song and video are fire together. I hope the "creator" gets paid. I wish someone would mashup a good Mimi hit and edit her to look like she can vibe and dance a little too. She did good herself on UOMF, but a good random viral moment can be fun. GTFO kind of failed as a moment IMO.

Did she really say Angels Cry? The name of one of her previous songs?

Let's use some common sense here. If I didn't like MC I wouldn't be here and let her soothe me at my lowest. I think the problem is the deceit and the foolishness. The deceit around her voice and the foolishness around her image. MC used the same good side, lighting, not acknowledging time schtick in her 2014 Breakfast Club interview. No growth in 7 years? Not even at 51? Ok she looks wonderful but when did it become about the ensemble and not the music? Not one word was uttered about music she's promoting. Oh wait she was there to promote McDonalds. And I don't want to nitpick or criticize MC too harshly because she's had a kcufed up life at times. But I think about Diana, Chaka, Barbra, Aretha, Gladys, Patti and the respect they received at this point in their careers. MC has 30 years in the business and has only won 5 Grammys and had one tribute, Kelly Rowland singing Fantasy. I want her to win and I want her legacy to be larger than a Christmas song she wrote on a Casio keyboard. Though we don't agree on much B, I miss arguing with you too and shout out to DeeMimiTodo who shouted me out earlier. Maybe I needed to be off this board for awhile longer. I forgot I can't express my opinion without the "you hate MC retort".

Fall in love again with Angels Cry 2018 (99,101) by T from USA
Remember when Mariah was finishing up the Caution album and one of the last songs she finished was "Caution" with NoID. She mentioned that they also did a song called "Angels Cry" but it wasn't finished in time. It was described as a Latin guitar ballad. Now I'm wondering if Fall In Love At Christmas isn't a reworking of that song. Especially since some of the lyrics references the word angels, and the whole Latin guitar vibes.

Yep it's a snooze fest. Even the audience barely even blink. Plus it's dubbed to within an inch of its life.

Tokyo Dome again? (99,097) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Live at the Tokyo Dome, ok, gotta ya. Ok, so what? Honestly, great vocals. But Mariah never had an interesting concert until the Charmbraclet tour. The Australian tour where she danced a bit was fun too, mostly because of her unbelievably gorgeous hair in that era. IMO, the Tokyo concert is so boring. The staging, the outfits, the standard singing of the songs. It has nothing I love about Mariah. I personally don't connect. I own The Rarities on vinyl and can't even be bothered to listen to the Tokyo sides it in full. It's just boring. Again amazing vocals. Check, got that. Daydream was the first album I heard of Mariah's in my mom's mini van on cassette tape. And that album connects with me so strongly. But this concert is just so lame, simply because I don't see Mariah in it.

I absolutely loved Mariah's appearance on the James Corden show. She was fun, witty and down-to-earth. I would love for more people to see that side of her. Also, her and James really clicked, which made it all the more entertaining.

Mariah's special Billboard magazine edition (99,094) by Brad from USA
As someone who spent sooo many years religiously following Mariah's career, in part, through her charting in Billboard, it makes me really happy to see this special edition of the magazine dedicated to our MC. I found my copy for $15 at my local CVS. I gave it four facings for good measure. Hope those of you who may want a copy can find one near you. Time is going by quickly so be sure to be good to yourself and those you care about. Especially at this time of year. Try to also be nice to one another. Be well, MC. "Love ya, appreciate ya and enjoy ya."

Re: MC on James Corden (99,085) (99,089) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I thought the "Diva Shtick" was done perfectly on Corden last night. The intro at the very start of the show with the Hollywood walk of Fame bit with Mariah delivering the line "You guys can stand up. I don't really make people bow down to me... anymore" was brilliant. Tanaka sitting beside her, completely disinterested on his phone; it set the stage for her taking the piss out of herself during the interview. Then Corden rolling his chair around trying to help her with her good side, and the walk-through-McDonald's shuffle and shoe toss. It was so funny, and the crowd thought it was hilarious. This was the shtick done right. I won't comment on her body (because I don't comment on bodies, it's negative energy). Her gown and shoes were stunning.

Re: MC on James Corden (99,085) (99,088) by Mara from United States
I watched the James Corden 1000th show and as a GM fan, I wished she had acknowledged she decided to do it because if it was good enough for George, it was good enough for her. Anyhow, I thought she was playful and while remaining true to her "slapstick diva campiness" I appreciated the fact like she was in on it and was only playing into it in a straight up in your face way. She came off as funny and almost down to earth in an odd sort of way. I read some of the comments on the YouTube page for James Corden and most were positive. I hate that she is still insecure though. She is too good for that and ce, enter herself too deep to be bothered with that sh** any longer. That stuff should be buried with her releasing her inner "little Mariah". I noticed she seemed swollen almost uncomfortable possibly due to a medication side effect or female hormones. It's not easy being at that magical age and female. I can't imagine being in the public eye dealing with fluctuations. Steroids or hormones can do that. What I did notice though and only because I have some lung issues, is that she sounded a little out of breath or like something is up. Again, I'm no doctor and maybe if I was in a corset, I prob would sound the same way. But I just hope she is ok and as we all know the Mariah that is in interviews and such... we really don't know Mariah the person behind all of that. It's easy to forget that is a person behind the brand and hair and dresses. She is a national treasure to me and I only hope she takes care of "Mariah" - the grown beautiful, strong, talented, resilient, and most of all mother to Roc and Roe woman.

She put on such a facade last night. Where has the real MC gone to? The whole interview was off. She looked so glamorous last Christmas with Ari and J-Hud. Where are you MC? We miss you.

MC on James Corden (99,085) by Randy from USA
If anyone had any hope of MC growing up, this was a reality check. The dress was amazing, make-up flawless. Hair a little messy but I thought she looked terrific. But of course she had to talk about her good side, and not acknowledging time and she sounded under the influence, slightly slurring. And of course there was no way she was gonna indulge us in the occupation that pays her bills. And listen I am not fat shaming, it's taken everything for me to lose the 30lbs I've had to lose. But for MC to rumoredly have had that sleeve a few years back, she's getting puffy again. She was stuffed in that dress like a glitter breakfast sausage link. I did like the campiness of her throwing the shoe after he imitated that she can't walk in them or the dresses she wears. But then that begs the question, why dress this way if you're uncomfortable? I appreciate all of you for the love you showed my return. Have a wonderful week.

Precisely, Mariah's fans have nothing to do with AIWFCIY being a success, it's, simply put, just a brilliant song. If it was purely Mariah's fanbase that saw it reach #1 across the globe, Save the Day would have had the same success. But it didn't, because it was a horrific song.
