The upper register on All In Your Mind sounded like birdsong, it was beautiful. And the second "insiiiiiide" of Emotions, when she carries up the scale was out of this world. I know everybody falls at Tokyo Dome's feet, but I find it one of her most boring and bland concerts she has ever done. Not helped by the audience being a sea of unenthusiastic mannequins either. Plus half the vocals are lipped studio vocals, but manipulated to a semitone lower. The Music Box Tour is 100% live, faults and all, and it's amazing. I agree that Vanishing is an absolute highlight, and swooping into the Morales mix of Dreamlover was a complete surprise. (Monday 30 August 2021; 16:59)

The placement of the rasp is incredible. Lowering the key was very smart too, as this is what she probably would've done. Outside is a very special song for me. I remember buying Butterfly and having this song on repeat for months. It helped me a lot with coming to terms with being gay. It's strange but amazing to hear it with "fresh" vocals. Mariah "live" (98,557) by Lee from UK I do not know if these have been posted here before but there is a YouTube account which posts some amazing Mariah audios. They usually post acapella or stripped down versions of songs using the original studio stems of Mariah's songs. They have begun posting "live" versions of songs Mariah has not performed live before. Obviously they are intended for entertainment purposes only but they are so realistic with 'live' instrumentation, added notes, additional rasp. This "live" version of Outside is awesome. Whoever made this knows Mariah's nuances very well and is obviously a fan of Mariah's live vocals. (Saturday 28 August 2021; 09:53)

She's good when she isn't playing herself or some version of her and when required to take direction. She's used to having control, and when she does, the results suck, hence that horrible Hallmark movie. She was amazing in Wise Girls. I didn't see Mariah Carey when she played Rachel. I hope they can at some point collaborate on something but Mariah can't act. She's a legendary musician, singer, song writer, producer, diva and a queen but acting isn't something she's good at. She gets stiff and self conscious infront of the camera. Maybe she can have Ryan feature on her Christmas special or a music video but a full length movie, no to that. I notice her, Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington and Jennifer Aniston have a fair amount of interaction on instagram, and now her and Ryan Reynolds seem to be good mates. She mentioned that she has Post Malone in mind to duet on this special Christmas song that she has written with Daniel Moore III. I could see Post Malone on the song adding a dreamy rapper feel to it. She kind of described the song that would perfectly for his voice. Maybe I Fall Apart meets When Christmas Comes. Definitely better than the original. Adds a whole new dimension. And yep, agree with the Bonita mix of DYKWYGT. I also love the Bossa Nova of Butterfly, because it's so unique in her remix catalogue (even though it's not technically a bossa nova lol, but close enough), but it's tough to beat the original. Glitter 20th anniversary (98,541) by BFF from United States I'm thinking back to how Mariah skipped the "Glitter" album during the MC30 roll out. I wonder if she's planning something for the 20th anniversary of the album release (9/11). It would be nice to have the "Loverboy" club remixes available for streaming. I know there were remixes for "Never too Far/Hero" Medley as well. I'd personally love to hear a Mariah-only recording of that song "Turn You Loose", which is featured in the opening scene with Billie and her mother. (Sunday 22 August 2021; 14:52)

Re: Remixes that surpass the original (98,539) (98,540) by BFF from United States "Fly Away" (Butterfly Reprise) (Def B' Fly Club Mix), "Always Be My Baby" (Always Club Mix), "One Sweet Day" (Sweet A Capella), "My All/Stay Awhile" (So So Def Remix), and "Any Time You Need a Friend" (Boriqua Tribe Mix) & (Soul Convention Mix), and "Do You Know Where You're Going To" (Mariah Bonita Club) are just a few of my favorites. I'm with you on Fantasy. Although I like the ODB version, I think I prefer the original mix. There were a few popular songs around that time that utilized the Tom Tom Club sample, but I think Mariah utilized it the best. Unfortunately, remix quality (and general quality of output) went downhill after "Glitter". Happy that Mariah had the major comeback with "The Emancipation of Mimi", but I find that album to be overrated. The songs outside of the singles were hit-or-miss for me. "Me I Am Mariah" is my favorite post-Sony album of hers but still don't think it provided much of anything in the way of remixes. (Sunday 22 August 2021; 14:41)
