Elijah Blake (97,886) by Bobby A from United States
Elijah Blake a.k.a. Sean Fenty who has written for Keyshia Cole, Rick Ross, Rihanna, and Usher's Climax posted a video on Twitter complimenting MC for her vocal technician skills and runs on When I Saw You. Do I smell a collaboration?

Hmmmmm. She is still showing up on their website.

Def Jam (97,884) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Def Jam just like every major has been go through restructuring, and changes because the music business itself is in a free fall because of the changes in technology, and how people consume the music. Labels are not spending as much as they once did because the money is not coming in as it used to. Only a handful of today's pop stars are actually selling records everyone is better be thankful for streaming because without it a lot of these pop stars would be in trouble even the ones getting major praise, and AirPlay besides Taylor, and Adele who actually put up major numbers with, without streaming.

Epic (97,883) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
To those who are unaware MC is not on Epic anymore, and has not been for quite sometime. She quietly moved from Epic to Sony. Her representation for her label is Sony/Sony legacy for her back catalogue. But all new stuff is released strictly through Sony Music Entertainment/RocNation.

Vocal analysis video found (97,882) by Bobby A from United States
I think that I may have found the best video yet that analyzes MC's voice and vocal decline. I can never figure out how to share the link using my phone. However, if you type the Google search "Mariah Carey's voice explained". The YouTube video by I Love Aretha Franklin will come up. This video is a must watch. MC16 is going to show that she lost her capital and her voice has more of a edge to it that ever before. These are the terms being used in the video. These terms really explain MC's vocal decline. One video last year of MC singing Stay The Night clearly shows the edge of her voice. Let me know your thoughts.

Humpty Hump (97,881) by RibbonB from USA
Aw, RIP Shock G. You gotta love Digital Underground and what a unique frontman he was. Such a seeming goof ball, but well respected as a genius and innovator. I guess Swizz could play him in the biopic, but aid rather Rene Jean from Bridgerton have the honor.

Re: Go independent (97,879) (97,880) by Bobby A from United States
I get it. MC can not continue to keep putting out albums and they underperform on a major label. Epic is going to drop her from their roster if MC16 does not sell like Dua Lipa.

Re: Go independent (97,875) (97,878) by T from USA
Janet's career is the last blueprint I would be following if I was Mariah. One album in the last twelve years or so. Came and went without even being noticed. Mariah belongs on a major because she's major.

Re: JLo can't sing lamb interview (97,876) (97,877) by 123 from USA
A hit dog will holler. Don't think too hard you may hurt yourself. I am on the said board you mention where there are many like minded individuals who come to talk about their love of MC's music, not bash it and her over and over again. You are the only negative person on the board so you should take your own advice. Stop relying to my posts, I've told you before to leave me alone. Push on blondie.

Re: JLo can't sing lamb interview (97,872) (97,876) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
Here's an idea: If the board you visit is too full of negativity from lambs whose opinions you dislike so much that you don't want to read them, why don't you go to another board more suited to your echo chamber ideology?

Go independent (97,875) by Bobby A from United States
Maybe it is time for MC to sign with an independent label and major distribution company like BMG. Janet Jackson has gone independent and signed to BMG. MC has the cash. What could go wrong as an independent artist? She has think out of the box for this next era.

Re: MC30 (97,873) (97,874) by Bobby A from United States
Yes. Def Jam stopped supporting MC after E=MC2. MIAM was a messy rollout. We might not ever hear tracks not used for the album on any new compilation. I think she is searching for another label for MC16. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis own Perspective Records. Interesting they got the first session this year.

Re: MC30 (97,870) (97,873) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
You could be on to something. That makes sense. It's a shame though. Weird that they allowed two of the more successful albums to be in MC30, but blocked Memoirs and MIAM. But oh well.

JLo can't sing lamb interview (97,872) by 123 from USA
This was a really good interview with an interesting back story and behind the scenes details. I love how she takes her infamy with a grain of salt and owns her 15 minutes of fame. I really like their discussion regarding other toxic lambs within this sub culture and how people should learn to get along because we all gather together to discuss our love for MCs music. If you no longer love her music or hate the artist, maybe start up another board on your own and invite like minded folks who revel in negativity.

Re: MC30 (97,869) (97,871) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes I agree, but I feel like she stopped from October because she wanted the focus to be on her Christmas projects. When she did come back to MC30 though, it wasn't the same. Her management had also changed by then I guess and it wasn't as organised as the eras released during the first half of MC30. Does anyone know if she left RocNation? She's not listed on their roster.

Re: MC30 (97,869) (97,870) by Bobby A from United States
Maybe it has something to do with Def Jam not allowing Memoirs and MIAM to participate in MC30 celebration. If you noticed, we did get any tracks on The Rarities from two eras.

Re: MC30 (97,868) (97,869) by T from USA
She should've done it all in 2020 before Christmas. There were plenty of missed weeks in October that could've fit in Charmbracelet and [EMC2]. Oh well. It was good while it lasted. Maybe we don't know [Memoirs] and [Caution] haha.

Re: MC30 (97,866) (97,868) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
What I mean obviously is she didn't finish the era by upgrading the videos from "Memoirs" like she did for all her previous eras. Similarly she didn't release the EPs and on from that era forward. When Liron was asked if MC is releasing Memoirs era soon, she replied with something like "not yet" in a teasing manner mimicking Mariah's "not yet" (during her "time for Christmas music" teaser videos). Which implied that she'll be releasing it soon. That lead to the whole internet thinking she's dropping the unreleased remix albums from that era (which I don't think she will). Also the Christmas special and "Oh Santa" remix wasn't part of MC30. She halted MC30 for a bit to focus on her Christmas ventures and then continued with it after then abruptly stopped before "Memoirs".

Re: Today Where I Belong goes for radio adds (97,804) (97,867) by Nikki from usa
I'm pretty sure everyone thinks her last song was with Ariana Grande her annual Christmas anthem. Everyone heard her last year. She has a shot. People seem to like the new track.

Re: MC30 (97,846) (97,866) by Nikki from usa
What do you mean? She rolled out 2020 with a new book, The Rarities, a new Christmas song with J.Hud and Ari, and an Apple Christmas special. I wasn't expecting more. Was she promising to do something else?

Re: Voice therapists (97,863) (97,865) by T from USA
All true. Dev Hayes of Blood Orange mage her instrument sound the best it has in a long while. And a standout on Caution. I would also like to hear how Dallas Austin would sound as she has never worked with him but he knew how to even make TLC's limited vocal range work in the context of the song. You Mariah to sound good on a track? Tweet and Instagram him and MC and encourage a collaboration. In terms of The Rarities, maybe 30k lambs is all she has left. Those are the ones that will never waver. But it also wasn't very promoted or seen. If she wants to make a hit record again she needs a new sound and a rested voice.

We all need to accept MC's current vocal state right now.

Re: Voice therapists (97,861) (97,863) by Edward from USA
It would be worth it. If the lambs were still with her, as you stated, how come such a great album like "The Rarities" sold just 30k copies? The lambs have been jumping ship for a long time now. She hasn't managed to keep her core fanbase like other artists like Barbra. Just to think how the whispering from Charmbracelet felt like a let down vocally back them, and now such whisper would be very welcoming. She definitely needs a vocal coach, great lyrics and new producers.

Today is WIB download day (97,862) by T from USA
I read on Twitter that today the lambs are all downloading and purchasing WIB. Tomorrow there is a streaming party for the song. It is our one big push.
