Ivor Novello (89,695) by Andrew from London UK
Not sure if anyone outside of the UK knows what that award means. It is the creme de la creme of songwriting awards. An Ivor Novello is difficult to attain. This is one of the biggest achievements Mariah could hope for. Outstanding.

Moby memoir (89,692) by RibbonB from USA
Big big eyeroll to this dude. Thankfully he and MC didn't cross paths. People should be wary of wanting gossipy memoirs, lol. I'm totally looking forward to the new season of Queen Sugar in June. While it is fictional, this season will be based on a devastating family memoir on the Bordelon family. The writing is so good on that show and the secrets will prove to be devastating for the writer and everyone whose stories she told. Or rather her impressions of them and their impact on her life.

Video, or it didn't happen. But really, the Irish Times was clearly happy to see Mimi perform in Ireland again after twenty years.

Article: Mariah Carey "smashes every note" (89,690) by B from USA
And to think people were worried about her voice after her Billboard performance. I think Mariah should have her future televised performances broadcast from her concerts like Grande did for her BMA performance (at least until she overcomes her fear of performing for crowds not made up of fans).

Mariah in Ireland (89,689) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
The review in Irish Times is maybe the best review I have read ever. He is calling her the last true solo superstar, what an impression Mariah is leaving behind these days.

I imagine that quite a few critics have noted that she got the Icon Award, and maybe some are colored by that. Either way, and as I have mentioned before, Mariah is turning in to a critics favorite right in front of our eyes.

Chinese fortune cookie message (89,687) by Brad from USA
I hope everyone is being well to one another. So of course I have been advising everyone to "proceed with caution" since La C dropped her latest album and sooo what happens to me today? My fortune cookie message at dinner was as follows: "Action with a brain. Today you should proceed with caution." I couldn't believe it and I know, of course, that its God saying "I hear what you are saying, but take your own (and Mariah's) advice buddy boy." Just thought I would share. God bless and be well.

Most precious and first item (89,686) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
My first Mariah item was a burned CD copy of Charmbraclet that I was obsessed with. A few weeks later my first purchase was a CD of Music Box from a local used store.

My most precious Mariah item by far is my Glitter vinyl. I absolutely love the song arrangement on the vinyl verses the standard CD release. If my house is burning down, that's what I'm grabbing and running with lol.

I guess it's the "Vision of love" CD-Single. I don't know. My collection of singles are put in a box and it's been a while since I had a look at them. That's something I have to do this weekend.

Yep. I've just sold a load of my rare stuff as "times got rough", bye bye Butterfly remixes and DYKWYGT picture disc. You served me well, but now you've paid my mortgage lol.

Re: The Netherlands (89,637) (89,683) by Musti from UK
Congratulation. Not sure how to say this without sounding like a hater but I thought the song was super predictable. My heart melted when Tamara hit the stage and she slayed everyone with that voice of hers. She really deserved to win. Big thumbs up to Italy as well. That song is hot.

Without a doubt mine is the promotional Mi Todo CD single with 5 tracks on it. I don't even like My All that much but that CD means everything to me. Thank you Eric for your amazing discography section. It helped me a lot back in the late 90s when I first started building my collection. Sadly I couldn't keep it up for long. That Mi Todo single alone had cost me... well, never mind the figure.

When it comes to my most precious item, I have to make it items because I refer to my collection of all her studio albums. Any other album can be gone but the studio ones cannot. Among these studio albums, my most precious is the Butterfly album.

Career over. Meanwhile she's still selling out all her shows as we speak. Such exaggerations.

Re: First Mariah item (89,648) (89,679) by Lainsky from Philippines
Music Box cassette tape was my very first item of Mariah and it got played 2-3 times each day everyday until I purchased the Daydream cassette tape. Heavy rotation of all new items has become the theme lol.

I had the Unplugged Radio special from Canada in my collection. Sold it for a nice profit.

Re: If septic tanks could sing (89,668) (89,677) by enwar00 from usa
Haha I'm sure it's mostly just haters spreading negativity because that's the world we live in now. Meanwhile once again her performance is trending on YouTube with millions of views in less than a day. I guess Madonna learned a thing or two from Mariah, who's been dubbing her performances for decades. But once again it's ok when she does it. Not to mention all the fake ass artists out there today, but Madonna gets the most hate because she is older and won't give up and at the end of the day she is the most popular of all so I guess it would be expected.

My most precious item may be the Butterfly poster she autographed for me 20 years ago when I met her at a meet and greet. I haven't seen that thing in years though, it's stored somewhere. I think.

Re: First Mariah item (89,666) (89,675) by IheartMC from USA
My first item was the Music Box cassette and I was hooked at Dreamlover. Hero was and still is special to me. My dad's fave song was Hero and I sang it at his funeral. Mariah is and will always be a part of my family. She is like my big sister and I get into arguments and debates about her legacy. I protect it too lol I mean I have loved her early on. I will say although I started at Music Box, my fave song is "Can't let go" from Emotions. I listened to everything before that album and have followed her through the ups and downs. I am proud of her on Caution. I didn't think we could get another album after the debacle of "I don't and Stella" era. So glad she got rid of those snakes on the lawn and got back to her first love, music.

Re: My most precious item (89,667) (89,674) by Bill from the UK
I have so many items I love it's hard to define one as the most precious. I love all the picture discs issued in the UK for her first album and its singles, and I love my Daydream vinyl and Unplugged Radio Special. I don't think many people have those.

First item / most precious item (89,673) by Stacey from USA
I first discovered MC after Hero was released. So I think my first CD bought was Music Box. I used to have a huge MC collection, mostly CDs. My most prized pieces were Butterfly (Brazil Meme mixes), Do You Know (DJ Greco mixes from Brazil), and Miss You Most (USA promo). At one point I had all the Christmas promo CDs. But life got in the way, had three kids, and sold my collection. Some of my items are listed in Eric's discography. Cheers.

Re: If septic tanks could sing (89,670) (89,672) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Here in Norway all the biggest newspapers wrote about how awful her performance was. Eurovision is the most watched music show in the world, 200 million watches it, what a time to do the worst performance of your life. It can be compared to Mariah's New Years Eve performance, but I have a feeling Madonna had a worse the day after feeling.

New era (89,671) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
It might be a bit bold, but maybe the Caution era is about people gaining respect for Mariah again. They not necessarily like her music, all though everybody likes her Christmas music, but people don't show the usual hate.

I have a feeling people remember her as one of history's greatest singers, and they know she has broken records. So, people didn't buy her last record, but people who are interested in music somehow know her latest work was praised by critics. Maybe we can call the Caution era the "new found respect era".
