Mariah's next number one (100,146) by Randy from USA
I absolutely love everyone's combatting the conspiracy theories and the stream requests of the "real fans". I want MC's 20th number one public driven, not fan driven like justiceforglitter. A lot of non-MC fans wouldn't know TGIFY or Loverboy which only went to number one and two respectively because we went out and bought the singles even though we had the albums or planned on purchasing the albums. Of course, the remixes were worth the buy, but it was fan driven not public driven. I want it to be undeniable. It just amazes me Adele can put out these piano ballads and go to number one but Alicia Keys, MC, Beyoncé, Christina A., Mary J a live and Rihanna still want to put out experimental R&B. And all of them have monster piano ballads in the past. It's maddening.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,143) (100,145) by JC from USA
Not to mention the subject of this thread pertains nothing to the ARIA charts. No offense, but I'm not interested in how BER peaks in Australia.

My guess (pure speculation) is there is a video for the remix. Not sure Mariah and Latto would've just done those promo teasers and not take advantage of the opportunity.

Let's hope they bust it out soon (at BER peak) for a last minute push in attempt for a #1.

That is correct. Lol.

"But it would take a little persuading."

That doesn't even sound right.

Elton John only got back on the charts because of Dua Lipa, lets be honest.

Conspiracy theory (100,141) by Edward from USA
I think some of you should stop with the conspiracy theories. Nobody is blocking Mariah from going to #One if her songs and collabos are filtered by the same rules as everyone else. I would prefer a #One like "Endless Love", "Can't Let Go", "Without You" or "Shake If Off" over a forgettable remix to be honest. I'm not saying I don't like the High Energy Remix, it's just that it's another Fantasy remix to me.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,138) (100,140) by T from USA
Well ARIA charts (in Australia) have confirmed that Mariah will only be credited if the label contact them. So I don't know how much more proof you need? This is not a high profile court case lol.

[Webmaster: What do the ARIA charts in Australia have to do with Billboard? Still no sources.]

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,138) (100,139) by RJJ12 from USA
Hi T. My source is Billboard, where they explained the 50% rule and explicitly stated that the remix has not yet made up for at least half of the points. It's lacking in streams and radio plays. Let's not make up conspiracy theories and get worked up over nothing. The song has had a slow climb. It's been out since September 2021. I think the remix will gain popularity as the weather warms up. Even if she doesn't get credit I'm enjoying the remix anyway.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,136) (100,138) by T from USA
It's not what I'm reading. I'm reading that RCA has the ability to credit Mariah if they choose. But it would take a little persuading.

[Webmaster: You often claim things, but when people ask for your sources, you never give them.]

She can do it (100,137) by Ricardo from New Zealand
I'm loving the popularity of the remix. But it's still Fantasy really. I'd rather Mariah hit the pinnacle of the Hot 100 with an original track to be honest. And she could still do it! Look at the likes of Elton and them. I believe she will and it will be so random and amazing we all will be "huh - look at that" lol.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,134) (100,136) by Lady B from USA
T is wrong. There is no "letter" needed, it's just streams plus radio being more for the remix than the original in a given week. We lambs can help on that. Let's do it!

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,134) (100,135) by T from USA
I don't think that will happen. No credit.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,131) (100,134) by jaker20 from US
Latto's team should get Mariah credited too if they want to get lambs fully on-board, as well as get more press. As it is, it won't go higher. For all we know the remix is at 45% points of Latto's version, and just needs a little bit of push. The 50/50 rule should have exceptions in this case, because Latto's version stalled at no.13 weeks ago, and that already samples Fantasy, and then on top of that, it was the remix that pushed it to top 3.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,132) (100,133) by Robert-Anthony from United States
First, something was really fishy that the remix was released on a Monday. Second, Billboard requiring a letter doesn't make any since Savage by Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyonce was automatically credited on the chart upon debut as "solo or remix". I don't think she will ever get the credit now. Somebody doesn't want her back at number #1.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,130) (100,132) by Lady B from USA
We need to help on the streams. We did it with #justiceforglitter, can we do it now? What should the hashtag be? When should we push?

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,129) (100,131) by T from USA
Predictions are that it will remain at #3 but it's only the original that's at #3. Even though we all know it's the remix with Mariah that got it so high in the first place.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,129) (100,130) by Carlos from Brazil
Mariah won't be credited again. The remix is still not surpassing the original in 2 fields (streaming and radio) only sales.

Billboard Hot 100 (100,129) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Does anybody know where "Big Energy Remix" will chart on this week's Billboard Hot 100? Has the remix been streamed more than 50% of the time? Very anxious.

Maybe British born RCA Records CEO Peter Edge is a huge a The Beatles fan and this is his way of making sure MC does not dethrone The Beatles.

I read in another forum that the Billboard rule is the remix has to be the dominant version by at least 50%. So stream away and request it on radio. Lol.

Re: Stella would've gotten her credited (100,119) (100,124) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'd rather be grateful that Mariah came out of the trashy era and managed to redeem her image than have her be with Stella to get her name get credited for BER. Stella had absolutely trashed Mariah's image down to being a C list reality star. I thought there was no way Mariah would be able to come out of that. The way her image has been restored in the past few years is a miracle. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm saying Mariah being a grown woman shouldn't be held responsible but people you surround yourself with do influence you. Stella had basically taken a legend and buried her status. I'm glad Mariah is out of that era. As much as I would love Mariah to get credited and the positive news that would generate I don't want that at the expense of her being trashed down again.

Why do they need a letter from RCA? Tommy would have had the letter at the RCA offices before Big Energy was released.
