So true. I will always love the 90ies because I grew up at that time and discovered the one and only Mariah. I wish you all a happy and healthy new year.

It would definitely be amazing if she stayed at #1 for another week. AIWFCIY streams from December 23 to December 25 were huge. But as I said before, should Brenda hit #1 instead, good for her.

That voice I first heard in my childhood still touched me leading up to this Christmas. Mariah has been such a big part of my life, and I think I can speak for other people as well, and I smurfing love her. Cheers to 2023 MCA Lambily. Love ya lots.

Wow Edward, that's insane. I think Christmas Eve and Day are the only 2 out of the 7 days that make up this chart week that the song benefited from, so for it to stay at #1 just based on that is crazy to me. I guess those monstrous streaming numbers that AIWFCIY is able to pull, breaking daily records on Spotify and elsewhere 28 years after it was released, are just that monstrous. Honestly even if it doesn't stay at #1, congrats and hats off to Mariah for still breaking records this far into her unparalleled career.

Talk of the Charts predicts AIWFCIY will stay at #1 for another week by a thin margin. Let's see.

According to the dictionary: "a reference source in print or electronic form containing words usually alphabetically arranged along with information about their forms, pronunciations, functions, etymologies, meanings, and syntactic and idiomatic usesa book in which you find the meaning of words", a typo is an error (as of spelling) in typed or typeset material.

In this case, the error is not intentional since the autocorrect on my phone seems to have a mind of its own.

So why do you keep referring to Mariah as Marian? Is this some sort of trollish dig? It's... odd.

Nobody's conspiring against Marian [sic]. The charts reflects what people are listening to. Should Brenda hit #1 next week, good for her. The rules apply to everyone.

Rainbow 25th anniversary (101,981) by jaker20 from US
Wait, Pride Version never thought of that. That's an excellent idea. It's amazing how that cover photo has become so iconic in itself.

Darlene and all (101,980) by jaker20 from US
Absolutely. But with each passing year it becomes more and more difficult and with the state of her voice, she can no longer pick and choose which song will be her next hit. However, I was just imaging that Love Me Like You Do was her song. I think something like that could be a hit her. I also think that BER would have been a bigger hit for her and Latto if it was the main version that was released. I think she still have plenty of options if she chooses to act on them.

Rainbow 25th anniversary (101,979) by Bobby A from United States
Rainbow's 25th anniversary will be in 2024. I tweeted MC and Sony Legacy today for vinyl boxset to celebrate its release. I didn't realize that the album has only sold 3 million copies so far. Our chances of seeing any type of anniversary release is problem slim to zero because of no extra tracks. But I would love to see a pride version with Frank Ocean (How Much), Lil Nas X (Did I Do That?), Sam Smith (Crybaby), Billy Porter (TGIFY), and Daley (Can't Take That Away). Only time will tell.

Billboard chart dated 7th January 2023 (101,978) by Jason from US
I think Brenda might get the No.1 spot because of her Spotify streams, very much far ahead from Mariah. I love the song but it doesn't tally with her success from other platforms like iTunes, Apple music, YouTube, radio etc. I think someone at US Spotify is manipulating the streams. Not sure why.

Darlene and all (101,977) by Terna from Nigeria
I want her next number one to be a regular genre song not a Christmas one, enough of the Christmas decoration, hibernation stunt. Yes it is good that she gets to go number one every year, but I want another "We Belong Together", "Touch My Body", "Fantasy", "Obsessed", "Heartbreaker" moment where she hits number one with a regular song. It is important that that 20th number one not be a Christmas number at all.

90th week atop (101,976) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Wow, congrats to the one and only MC. She really has broken every record one can break. On a side note: I was looking at the new Instagram pics, Mariah with Bryan and the kids. And I thought that look is so "Daydream Mariah". I love it. It's classy and beautiful. It really looks like 96. She has the sweetest smile, she really seems to enjoy the holidays. Something that makes me happy to see. All I want as a lifetime fan is a happy, healthy Mariah.

Billboard chart dated 7th January 2023 (101,975) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
For chart dated 7th January 2023, the tracking days that count would be from 23rd December 2022 until 29th December 2022. So those 4 days (23 until 26) generally people are still listening to Christmas music. I hope Mariah would get her 12th week (dated 7 January 2023) and it will make her having a No 1 song for 5 consecutive years (2019-2023). Fingers crossed lambs.

Let's see about that. December 24 and 25, in which Marian broke records count towards next week. Marian still has a huge chance to remain at the top. If not, three weeks is good enough for me.

We did it Lambs. MC is number #1 for another week. Is it just me? I heard and saw AIWFCIY everywhere this year from parties to department stores to school programs. Maybe people are really liking MC's it's time videos. This year's video was her best one yet.

AIWFCIY locks another week at #1 (101,970) by Edward from USA
Mariah locks her second week at #1 this year for a total of 11 weeks. Brenda was close, but with Mariah breaking the record of most streamed song ever on Spotify, Brenda didn't stand a chance. Actually, this is the 3rd week at number one for this year.

I think Mariah should accept that duet offer and snatch that 20th no.1. With all the controversy, Mariah should reconcile with her around September and generate publicity for the supposed "feud" turned duet lol. Mariah's C(BPCH) version itself is getting more and more popular every year, it just needs a little push.

There's a few other songs Mariah could duet with, like she did with AIWFCIY duets with so many artists over the years. Lambs might not have noticed the duet with Justin Bierber reintroduced the song in a big way to a lot of people 12 years ago, and she should do the same, maybe for either C(BPCH) or another song, because I don't think the Hey Santa duets with Ariana and JHud worked so well. I still love it though.

Article: Is Mariah Carey lying about creation of hit song? (101,968) by jaker20 from US
He is such a liar. Even his interviews, he can't say straight up that he wrote a single word on it. He's talking around it, oh he played this, he played that, he collabed with Mimi, yada yada. He himself said that it was Mariah who would sing "I don't want a lot for Christmas" which became the main melody. He probably just hummed "dadda dada, hmm hmm" and said he co-wrote it. That is because he can't.

It is important for Mariah to tell these stories, to tell the inspiration for the song, because that is what separates her from Walter. Mariah is a story-teller, she tells stories about her youth, about her Christmas experience, and how she loves the season. And all that contributes to the genius of the song.

Inspiration is very important to ownership. Walter has been talking for decades and can't come up with any, because he had none. Does he even like Christmas? Lol.

You know, he is from the time when men controls how women gets credit, and we are better off forgetting people like that.

O Holy Night music video (101,967) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
At the end of 2000, Mariah shot a live music video of O Holy Night at a church, the one where she wore the cute red dress. I was thinking, why is this video so random? My theory was maybe the budget and project to shoot the video was originally for Where Are You Christmas (it was the same time the song by Faith was released) and because Mariah didn't get clearance by Sony to release the song so they thought why not just shot a random video for any song from the Christmas album. I guess they picked O Holy Night because that's the only single that didn't have any official video and later they released it in Japan for the album's limited edition in 2000. Maybe the original plan was to make Where Are You Christmas as bonus track for the re-release Merry Christmas album back then. Such a waste of opportunity and a hit song by Mariah.
