Re: Walter (97,097) (97,099) by B from USA
Walter keeps insinuating that Mariah doesn't give him the credit he thinks deserves, which isn't true. Mariah wrote the lyrics to AIWFCIY by herself and had already started working on the melody when she took it to him, and they finished the song together. After being betrayed her, she owes him nothing.

My thought is she will be releasing it this year as Glitter turns 20.

I can see what you're trying to get at. However, it was a video suggested in my feed and I am interested to hear what Walter Afanasieff has to say about Mariah on any subject, as are other people here - of that I am certain. The point of the post was not the song but of his being positive and complimentary toward Mariah. So before you kiss your teeth and go in for what you perceive as an easy-win you ought to stop and think so as to not look a bit silly. Either way, I am glad to have left old Anthony's head to reside under your skin. Happy scratching.

Glitter (97,096) by stephani from australia
[Since] [Mariah] has the rights to [Glitter] why did she not sell it on vinyl? And I have [an] idea. [Mariah] should reprint [Glitter] with the [Firecracker] sample. [Webmaster: Since you're new, I will explain my rules to you: Please try to write understandable English, with the proper use of dots and capitals.]

Is this you? "Is anyone else completely sick of hearing about and reading about AIWFCIY? It's a bit much." Yet a couple of days you're... Ah, never mind. Happy New Year!

Re: Walter (97,091) (97,094) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
"Are you serious? Walter being nice?"

It isn't a question of my sincerity, the video contains portions of him complimenting and admiring Mariah.

"He has repeatedly lied over the process of this collaboration, he is literally caught on video explaining the process between him and Mariah's songwriting process."

Post video links of him lying with evidence that what he is saying is not true, then, please.

"And the fact that he sold his share to anyone but Mariah makes me hate him even more."

What he does with his intellectual property is nothing to do with Mariah. She has no rights to it, legally, morally or otherwise.

"[H]ere is he once again trying to latch his irrelevant name next to Mariah."

He is an incredibly successful songwriter and producer. Eric has posted his accomplishments several times, but perhaps before the relatively short time you have been a Mariah fan/whackjob.

"His annual little press coverage is depressing, see ya next year mr 'Mariah still gives me the best check, let's exploit that'."

He is credited as having written 50 percent of the song, if I am not mistaken and he produced all of it, programming every single bit of instrumentation. I am sure Mariah's bank account and Mariah herself is pleased that their collaborations helped make her so successful - even when she also infers that she alone wrote the song, often completely omitting him from history.

You are rather angry and defensive of something with which you had nothing to do.

No Nikki, you're not alone, I love You're Mine (Eternal) too. To me it's such a hypnotic song, and I've always said and thought it had an intriguing structure. I also love the video, the setting and its color, she looks beautiful, and I think it fits the mood of the song. I would love another unplugged album, but unfortunately I don't know if that'll ever happen again.

American lambily - stay safe. In complete disbelief about what's going on over there. UK folks - do some jigsaws and read some books. Melbourne went through one of the worlds toughest lockdowns and as hideous as it was, it worked. I listened to a lot of MC during those 112 days, even Infinity.

Thinking of you all, I hate how effed up the world is right now.

I think Mariah fixed her teeth in 1991. After LTT. If you watch her First Vision on DVD, you can see that something has been done. Bad or good side doesn't matter.

Mariah Unplugged (97,088) by Nikki from usa
I want another live and raw performance. Mariah's a music genius and I love the way she re-invented TGIFY for Vegas. I'd like to hear her voice sing in her full musical swing and rework the songs however she likes. She's been doing great things this past year with medleys. Mariah could make a concert just for YouTube or another streaming service. I know I'm alone here for my love of "You're Mine". Yet, I would live for Mariah in a mermaid outfit with a hologram or CGI of some sort where Mariah's in some kind of realm or mermaid world. Mariah singing some mood music with the mood changing around her for each song. Moonlit gardens. Orange clouds mirrored off water. Silver winter scape. So festive.

Re: Cosmetic surgery (97,075) (97,087) by Nikki from usa
I think you're the one who's come closest to all the facts. I can't say anything about her nose. I've always collected pictures of her. There are times I think she does, but then she'll have other pictures where it looks more normal. With so much contouring these days it can be hard to tell. She's also bigger now, so other features seem smaller too. She has had cool sculpting done. She shows all signs of it. I've noticed she's very adverse to the knife. She'll try to keep things as natural as possible. I don't think she's used botox only because she's never had wrinkles and makes the same faces as she always has. There's nothing new. If she had anything else done it would be done with injections or something less invasive.

This isn't about Mariah. A lot of people, in general, seem to be confused about this. Surgery requires cutting. Injections like Botox isn't "cosmetic surgery". That would be things like a nose job, a butt job, or getting some kind of implants. Liposuction could fall under that umbrella too. Fillers and injections don't. So, when a celebrity says they haven't had "cosmetic surgery" done, that doesn't mean they haven't had anything done, they just didn't undergo the knife. Some may be lying. In some cases, they may not consider it "cosmetic" if it was reconstructive. Mariah may not consider having her stomach flap surgery "cosmetic" since it was done to cure a deformity, for example. This specific example has never come up. Just something I thought I'd share because the general public seems to lump things together and then assume every celeb is lying when they deny it. My friend had a nose job due to a deviated septum. The doctor fixed it, but also made it smaller because that's what he was used to doing when most got the operation done for aesthetic reasons. To this day she gets mad when people say she had "cosmetic" surgery, because that's not why she got it.

Re: Cosmetic surgery (97,083) (97,086) by Nikki from usa
That video. That lady is really bad at her job. The teeth thing she mentions is on Mariah's "bad side". The picture she shows where she says it's no longer there - you can still see it. She shows MC's good side pic vs. bad side pic. Mariah never had that fixed, but it's one of the reasons she won't be photographed from the beauty mark side. The other problem is Mariah talked about the reconstructive surgery she had on her stomach when the twins left her with a stomach flap. She talked about it in the very magazine this woman shows while claiming Mariah didn't. Mariah's a C cup. The only time they look enormous is when she has them smashed to her chest within an inch of their lives. She clearly likes the knockers look these days. But, when she lets them loose they're nowhere near that big. However, it's pointless to speculate because you don't know what kind of "help" is going on beneath. You'd need to see them loose or without anything on at all to see what shape they take and how they sit. In the pictures this woman used, I can see the push up in every single one of them. They're not "far apart" on her chest. I think you're seeing implants where there's just fat.

GTFO (97,085) by Nikki from usa
The song was never released to radio. They even said that from the beginning that it wasn't a single. It was strictly for download and buzz. The label thought it was "too edgy" for a "Mariah Carey" track. If they wanted to release it to radio, they'd have a less explicit version just like all the other songs that have swears in the titles. They repeatedly stated that her first single was With You and would be released October 5.

FKA Twigs (97,084) by Terna from Nigeria
I was going through a playlist and her song titled "Two Weeks" came on, I always thought she's evidently mimicking Mariah Carey's signature vocal style a little bit, it's a beautiful song and vocal performance and she nails the girly falsettos well for the most part, but the thing is it comes across as incomplete and unsatisfying because it lacks that explosive, powerhouse vocal climax you're expecting but never shows up and this song is that type of song. This is one of Mariah's strengths - her killer adlibs, when it's time to tear up a song vocally no one does it quite like Mariah. I think Mariah should redo this song and tear it up.

Re: Cosmetic surgery (97,077) (97,083) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
This is interesting. I don't really care if she has plastic surgery: it's her face and body. But I would say three things: she should not have too much as to look quite different from her natural safe, she should have the girls reduced because they are look pretty horrific that big, and she definitely needs to lose weight. Aside from that, she still looks pretty good for 50.

Yes, I thought the same. It gets a bit boring. More authencitiy would be nice. After 2020 I'm really tired of superficial things. I know that's how the Instagram "works" but here and there some authencitiy would work too. One can dream.

Mariah didn't forget the words. Because she sang them. In fact, almost everybody knows the words. It's not difficult. She's telling you she can't remember the lyrics? Nope. It's likely just another fake skit on camera for attention. I despise untruths.

Definitely cheeck implants. Her face is now heartshaped whereas before it was more elongated. Botox, fillers and I guess a subtle nose job. The rest is makeup trickery.

Re: Cosmetic surgery (97,073) (97,076) by ktktkt from Philippines
Mariah had rhinoplasty. I honestly think it could've somehow affected her midrange. It must be around 1997 when she had her nose done. As the swelling subsided, her mid voice thinned out too.

I am not sure if she had botox, it could be genes why her skin "does not know" wrinkles.
