Summer Walker / Still Not Over It (99,120) by JC from USA
Totally random, but I wonder if Mariah is listening to this album. It's a true R&B album and I think anyone who likes Mariah's more "urban" sound would vibe with it. I also think they'd sound so good together.

I like No Love featuring SZA and Throw It Away. Summer's backing vocals reminds me of how Mariah layers and their writing styles are very similar. Obviously Mariah's voice is supreme, but stylistically, I bet Mariah would love this work.

Charts (99,119) by Pedro from Brazil
"Easy On Me" by Adele and "All I Want For Christmas Is You" are expected to take the top 2 on next week's Hot 100, with every other song far behind them. They are predicted to be within 5% of points of each other, with "Easy On Me" as the favorite, according to Talk of the charts. Will AIWFCIY dethrone Adele's domination?

Re: Target / Walmart (99,115) (99,118) by Bobby A from United States
It's only $5.27 including tax. Lol. It will grow on you next Christmas, possibly. Tweet MC about releasing Where Are You Christmas next year. She listens to me on Twitter. That's how we got Kirk Franklin this year. I am trying to hook her up with Madicin for MC16.

Uncertainty (99,117) by Bobby A from United States
I have never ended a year before with so much uncertainty about MC's plan for a new album. We just don't know the type of sound that she going for this time. All we know is that she has recorded a song with The Clark Sisters and reached out to Brandy and Maxwell for duets. I hope that she works with Drak-kar "Madicin" Wesley, Blake Strauss, Bizness Boi, Rex Rideout, Jazmine Sullivan, Victoria Monet, Sevyn Streeter, Aaron Lindsey, Babyface, PJ Morton, FWDSLXSH, Ryan Tedder, and Elijah Blake. I believe that she has another Daydream or Butterfly left in her. She just needs some fresh new songwriters and producers to help guide her into new territory. She is going to have some heavy competition from Beyonce, Rihanna, The Weekend, Sam Smith and Maxwell. 2022 is going interesting because of the tours happening too.

Where are you Christmas? (99,116) by Terna from Nigeria
I want her version of this song, this Christmas. Because those lyrics are personal and I feel this was one song she should not (all caps) have given to Faith Hill nor any other singer to record (vocal issues and all). It's such a beautiful, beautiful song and really hits home. I loved it from the very first listen and didn't even know it was Mariah who wrote it.

Re: Target / Walmart (99,110) (99,115) by Terna from Nigeria
And who is going to spend hard earned money on that trash of a song and all its versions, to actually own it on CD? (Sorry Mariah, the song is trash.) It actually puts me in a bad mood.

James Cordon interview (99,114) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I actually liked the interview. This maybe seem strange, I found it relateble that Mariah seemed very fragile, but not in a bad way. It looks like this pandemic has taken a toll on Mariah, she has become a bit down to earth again, and that is a good thing.

Yes, she behaved like the diva she is presumed to be, but she loves to do that, and she has sticked to that routine for over two decades in spite of constant criticism from the public. I love people who just do what they want to do even though everybody has an opinion of it, and many people thinks it's a ridiculous act.

But she seemed extremely self-conscious, couldn't focus in the beginning, and it took a long time before she put her gard down. It wasn't until she threw the shoe, that she felt a little relaxed, it seemed. She felt human.

About the weight, I'm bipolar myself, and have been that since 2008. Mariah's meltdown on TRL in 2001 is exactly how my behaviour became the first time I got sick, completely in a manic state. Mariah had a worse time than me, obviously, since her life was written about in every newspaper around the world. I live in Norway where Mariah's success has been limited, but that breakdown and the fact she got sacked by Virgin, was a huge story in the biggest newspapers in this country. I had the luxury that my first episode of a manic episode only was seen by family and friends.

Ok, I loved the interview, Mariah was insecure, but seemed happy, like many of us, and it was a delight to see her out and about again and actually likeable.

Re: Mariah 2022 (99,109) (99,113) by Terna from Nigeria
Wow, 2022 is just around the corner? I recall 2002 like yesterday and how "Through the rain" dropped mid October and the "Charmbracelet" 2nd or 3rd of December if I'm not mistaken. Time does fly doesn't it? . This would be the first time she would be releasing a full on studio album in the year of "2" and not just at the end of the year, if you get my drift. However, I am not stoked for the album unless it is some kind of compilation of powerful songs (ballads I hope, with not one single rap collaboration in sight, I'm sick of those) and undeniable bops from when her voice was pristine because right now, something just doesn't add up Mariah, your instrument is "compromised" to put it nicely. I was so shocked by that BPCH clip and I didn't even watch the full performance. Smh. I want this woman to win so bad, but it seems she does not want that for herself, she is long overdue for another tangible era like we know very well she's capable of and to connect to the younger generation (who if I may add already adore her) and reconnect back to disillusioned lambs like say Randy. Lol. Sorry Randy no shade here. And welcome back by the way.

Re: Fall in love again with Angels Cry 2018 (99,101) (99,112) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Maybe during the interview, she was meaning to say "Angels in the sky" or "Angels Sky" as in the lyrics "and all the angels in the sky, shine down on us as we roll by". But somehow she got confused and said "Angels Cry" instead. I would prefer if Fall In Love At Christmas" be changed to "Fall in love At Valentine" and make it into an ordinary love song instead of Christmas song. The song can be cherished more by all listeners if it's not a Christmas song.

It seems to me that MC acts her age when she is focused in the studio recording and getting ready to put out a new album.

I have been searching every weekend at various stores for the Mariah merch that she announced back in December. Anyone know when this will hit stores? Seems kinda late now?

Mariah Carey Vs. Beyonce' Knowles (99,107) by Terna from Nigeria
Again L.A Reid shows us he's not quite in touch with reality and has lost his spark for him to even suggest this versus. Like is he trying to embarrass Beyonce'? She should be should be facing Rihanna instead. Haha.

Re: Do you like Mariah? (99,102) (99,106) by T from USA
I agree. I thought signing with [Roc Nation] and releasing [Caution] was the turn around we were all waiting for. She was reminding me of Daydream/Butterfly Mariah in her sexy classiness. Her image was flawless at the beginning of 2018 right up until the end of 2019. She's gone backwards toward those dreaded Stella days. We can blame Stella all we want but what if Mariah can keep it together for only short amounts of time? What if the lambs are faced with the possibility that every few years Mariah starts reverting to immaturity.

Body Under the Bridge (99,105) by RibbonB from USA
Has anyone heard that week old mashup with Adele and Megan thee Stallion? I actually love it. I barely like Water Under the Bridge and hated Megan's song Body, but the song and video are fire together. I hope the "creator" gets paid. I wish someone would mashup a good Mimi hit and edit her to look like she can vibe and dance a little too. She did good herself on UOMF, but a good random viral moment can be fun. GTFO kind of failed as a moment IMO.

Did she really say Angels Cry? The name of one of her previous songs?

Re: Do you like Mariah? (99,095) (99,102) by Randy from USA
Let's use some common sense here. If I didn't like MC I wouldn't be here and let her soothe me at my lowest. I think the problem is the deceit and the foolishness. The deceit around her voice and the foolishness around her image. MC used the same good side, lighting, not acknowledging time schtick in her 2014 Breakfast Club interview. No growth in 7 years? Not even at 51? Ok she looks wonderful but when did it become about the ensemble and not the music? Not one word was uttered about music she's promoting. Oh wait she was there to promote McDonalds. And I don't want to nitpick or criticize MC too harshly because she's had a kcufed up life at times. But I think about Diana, Chaka, Barbra, Aretha, Gladys, Patti and the respect they received at this point in their careers. MC has 30 years in the business and has only won 5 Grammys and had one tribute, Kelly Rowland singing Fantasy. I want her to win and I want her legacy to be larger than a Christmas song she wrote on a Casio keyboard. Though we don't agree on much B, I miss arguing with you too and shout out to DeeMimiTodo who shouted me out earlier. Maybe I needed to be off this board for awhile longer. I forgot I can't express my opinion without the "you hate MC retort".

Fall in love again with Angels Cry 2018 (99,101) by T from USA
Remember when Mariah was finishing up the Caution album and one of the last songs she finished was "Caution" with NoID. She mentioned that they also did a song called "Angels Cry" but it wasn't finished in time. It was described as a Latin guitar ballad. Now I'm wondering if Fall In Love At Christmas isn't a reworking of that song. Especially since some of the lyrics references the word angels, and the whole Latin guitar vibes.

Tokyo Dome again? (99,097) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Live at the Tokyo Dome, ok, gotta ya. Ok, so what? Honestly, great vocals. But Mariah never had an interesting concert until the Charmbraclet tour. The Australian tour where she danced a bit was fun too, mostly because of her unbelievably gorgeous hair in that era. IMO, the Tokyo concert is so boring. The staging, the outfits, the standard singing of the songs. It has nothing I love about Mariah. I personally don't connect. I own The Rarities on vinyl and can't even be bothered to listen to the Tokyo sides it in full. It's just boring. Again amazing vocals. Check, got that. Daydream was the first album I heard of Mariah's in my mom's mini van on cassette tape. And that album connects with me so strongly. But this concert is just so lame, simply because I don't see Mariah in it.

Re: MC on James Corden (99,088) (99,096) by Aliya from Canada
I absolutely loved Mariah's appearance on the James Corden show. She was fun, witty and down-to-earth. I would love for more people to see that side of her. Also, her and James really clicked, which made it all the more entertaining.
