Do you think we could get a bonus doll depicting her infamous appearance on MTV TRL?

Mariah concert in Brasil (106,596) by Carlos from Brazil
I am really happy to share with you guys that I got my tickets for the Mariah concert in Brasil. I didn't got the tickets for Rock in Rio but for her solo concert which is even better. Who is coming? It appears to be selling fast.

Mariah should release a Rainbow remix everyday during Pride Month. At the end of Pride Month, she should shock us all and release a physical CD containing the best of those 30 remixes bundled up with a Mariah Barbie doll, with the head tilted to the right of course, It would be so epic and festive. Can you imagine if the Rainbow remixes were titled Rainbow Extensions 1, 2, 3 and so on? People would go crazy. It would definitely be her next number one.

I don't really know, but I am preducting that MC will release the remix one week before the NYC Pride Festival on June 30th. This way it will have the biggest impact during her home city's Pride Festival.

I think the Rainbow remix should definitely be released during the month of Pride, like yesterday, the album probably in November when everyone's hearing AIWFCIY played everywhere. Please Mariah release the Rainbow remix already. It's June 3rd.

Haha. Don't do that. Honestly it takes a lot to sing with and like Chaka Khan. I love this version and feel like it's better than the studio recording, and the song is just gorgeous and well produced.

Do you think we will have to wait till November for Rainbow25 and the remix. As that’s when the album was originally released or do you think she do it during Pride period?

Lifetime movie idea (106,590) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I have an idea for a Lifetime movie to only focus on the beginning of MC's career through her last album with Sony. I just want the movie to focus only on the ups and downs of her relationship with Tommy and her recording career at Sony. Save the Glitter movie, mental breakdown and post Glitter career for a major motion picture to fully tell the Mariah Carey story in a 2-hour epic movie. The Lifetime movie should be written to depict MC's fast rise to stardom and her tumultous relationship with Tommy. My idea would be great for young people born in the 2000s to fully understand how MC became Mariah Carey.

X-Girlfriend (106,589) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Kandi Buruss revealed during a Club Shay Shay interview (2023) that she and MC wrote X-Girlfriend over the phone. MC opted to record Rainbow in Capri, Italy and Kandi and Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs could not join her there. I did not know that is how X-Girlfriend was created.

They certainly gave Chaka Khan and her iconic big hair a run for her money. Rumor has it that they were all fired and never seen again after that performance.

Caution is probably better than TEOM (106,587) by Zachariah from Croatia
I have to disagree. Only half of that album is very good and that half carried the sale and success despite the other half. The half that was good: It's like that, We belong together, Shake it off, Say something, Get your number, Don't forget about us and Fly like a bird (but only live version). Makin' It Last All Night from the Platinum edition - also very very good. The other half - boring and rushed. Butterfly album on the other hand - every song is a masterpiece. Caution - it lacked a huge hit but it was a decent rnb album.

Danceriah appreciation post (106,586) by Libra Lamb from USA
My favorite parts are "it's haaaard" and "I gotta think about it" and duh of course everything else the song offers. There's so many genres and music styles used in a 16 minute song that it offers something different for everyone. Also, I love Mariah's laughter on any song, it is so sweet. Such a good song. Her ballads make the best House and Club mixes. I'm so excited for the Rainbow Club Mix we've been promised with the Rainbow 25 celebration. Happy Pride Month to anyone celebrating themselves and/or loved ones.

I kinda have to agree with you here. The success and bragging rights came after Emancipation. It paved the way and wrote the story for what we are getting right now, everything happens for a reason. Glitter was a disaster era but Emancipation was the big comeback that not many are afforded in the music industry. The voice. That was pure talent, don't get twisted. That same talent is still there and is saying "Don't count me out yet" with her latest releases. I don't mind getting a song here and there as long as they are Portrait remix quality. Xoxos and happy Pride Month Lambily.

I agree. Caution as a body of work is superior to TEOM. Caution is a full vibe the way Butterfly is a full vibe. TEOM is iconic; but Mariah really didn't go anywhere between 1999 (Rainbow), to Glitter (2001) to Charmbraclet (2002) to TEOM (2005). It's a myth that she disappeared, like Cher did before Believe came out. TEOM was great because she was all over radio at the time, and even the non-lambs embraced it. But I listen to Caution far more then I do TEOM, heck I listen to E=MC2 more then TEOM.

Um no Sir, just no. The Emancipation Of Mimi was more than just a massive [era], that album literally saved Mariah from being a relic from the 90's, especially after the way her image, reputation and public perception had been dragged through the mud and negatively, intentionally altered by the media, since they held the narrative back then. Basically what they tried so hard to insinuate was that Mariah Carey was now a clown, not to be taken seriously at all. Smh. Until she was not, she deliberately took that narrative back and forced that respect, whether they liked it or not. She needed a monster hit not just a very good song but an undeniable classic, and that's exactly what "We Belong Together" was - a miracle and the kind of magic most artists don't achieve in their careers. This album out of all her other albums is in a lane of its own, and is also a crossing over from Icon to [legendary] status for her. "Caution" is Mariah resting pretty on her laurels safe, secure, untouchable and respected of course, with nothing more to prove. "The Emancipation of Mimi" make no mistake is the main reason for this.

Danceriah appreciation post (106,580) by Shezz from Pk
This afternoon I was listening to the Portrait remix again (which has really grown on me, it really is a masterpiece) and it led me to revisit her other dance tracks (remixes) totally oblivious to the fact that Pride month has just started. Of course then I stumbled onto Spotify Pride lists and of course Mariah's impressive collection of house music was nowhere to be found. It wasn't that they were featuring younger artists only, there was plenty of Madonna. Only Mariah track on the list was Fantasy right at the end. So sad that her incredible house mixes haven't reached the masses. Spotify needs to up their game. Happy Pride month everybody. I can't wait for the Rainbow remix now.

Mariah's Girls (106,579) by Terna from Nigeria
There's a resurgence of R&B and it's mainly female artists holding down this [genre] of music. Muni, Victoria, Summer and Tink. All relatively new artists. Feeling this new Tink feat [Summer Walker] joint.

Caution is probably better than TEOM (106,578) by jaker20 from US
I think both albums are good for different reasons.

TEOM is a huge creative leap for Mariah. The lyrics are slightly more mature and multi-dimensional. Up until that album, Mariah's album titles were one word, and they were all cohesive as one full era. But on TEOM, Mariah is definitely more free in experimentation and creativity, and she was trying new things, and it shows in the beats of the album, like One and Only, SIO and Say Something. Even Stay the Night does not feel like a traditional Mariah song, but somehow it fits here.

Caution to me is a masterpiece. If Mariah had followed up immediately after its release, it would have set a standard for her. If it had been released after the recent boom of AIWFCIY the reception would have definitely been better. Just like Mariah had a 1990-2004 era, I feel like Caution marks a new era for her too, but unfortunately, she hasn't followed up with a similar path. Here, Mariah is embracing her new voice and being playful with it. The tracks themselves have more genre influences than she's done before, from jazzy pop to EDM, but still recognizably R&B.

For me, there is no way to compare the two, they were very different. I don't think people overpraise it because of its commercial success. It's the other way around. It's a commercial success because it's undeniably a great album that many think it is.

I never really warmed to TEOM as an album. As a fan, it feels like we are required to over-praise it simply because it was a commercial comeback for Mariah. It was nice to see songs like "We Belong Together" perform well, but I personally would have left off "One and Only" and "To the Floor". The ballads like "Mine Again", "I Wish You Knew", "Circles", and "Joy Ride", though decent, were lower quality than those recorded during the 1990-2001 period.

"Caution" works better as an album than TEOM but needed maybe one more song on the original track listing (i.e. "Runway"). The final product proves that Mariah can produce a good album in a time crunch.

Re-release of #1's on vinyl (106,574) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Well, I have WBT as a vinyl picture disc, and the sound on that is not bad, but that is maybe a different thing? Either way, I want it mostly to just make my Mariah vinyl collection bigger, and since I became a fan in 1997 after she released Butterfly, this was the second new release of a Mariah album I bought, after that I also bought Daydream and borrowed Music Box from a friend (and never turned back ).

I have very fond memories from when #1's was released, I got to know more of Mariah's back catalogue, I think I played it every day for a year, and have always put it on when I can't decide which album of Mariah I want to listen to.

So, I want to by it because #1's means a lot to me, and I think the black and silver vinyls will look great, I can't wait.

That was my statement after listening to the Caution album and some 2017-2021 voice analysis YouTube videos today. My statement got me thinking after hearing how Lambs in the YouTube comments section just adore Caution. Before Caution, TEOM is a fan favorite post Butterfly. Lambs say that Caution is MC's most critically album and so many just love how MC's musicality just shines on Caution. Fan favorites like Giving Me Life, 8th Grade, and The Distance prove that MC was a bit hard on herself for saying that Caution was rushed. What she produced and delivered was further from the truth what fans would consider a rushed album. How many artists are able to go back and revisit an album track and recreate it into a marvelous world-class dance track? There are not many artists who can or are willing to do that like MC does so effortlessly with her catalogue. It is a great time to be a Lamb. I guess MC won't be able to say that MC16 was rushed. Lol. I am going to put down Mariah book until next weekend. Lol.
