Bruno Mars (97,788) by Bobby A from United States
Several Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak songs could give MC a second comeback. I hope she collaborates with them both soon in the studio.

I see Special K still thirsting over Bryan after all these years haha. "From now until forever and ever my darlin'."

"Something that you do
Hypnotizes me
Sets my soul at ease
Every time you're near me
I'm in heaven, baby"

Reminds me of Tanaka, oops I mean my husband.

Great answers everyone. Keep them coming. And Andrew, "if Jermaine likes it then I like it" does not count. The Roof and My All sound more beautiful now that we know more of what inspired the songs.

"You look at me and see the girl, who lives inside the golden world. But don't believe that's all there is to see. You'll never know the real me."

I know that's a few lines, but Looking In has always been a huge favorite of mine. It describes how my life to perfection. My theme song of sorts.

It definitely does. Either good or bad.

"I'm thinking of you, in my sleepless solitude tonight."

Hits different as a grown up, falling for someone who's unavailable (at the moment).

Yes "The Roof" is so poetic from the beginning to the end. Lyrically the best.

I also like "One summer night, we ran away for a while."

Justice for "The Roof". One of the best songs ever written and got barely any recognition.

Agree. "It wasn't raining yet, but it was definitely, a little misty in that warm November night" is by far her best opening line.

MOAIA Dream demo-ish song (97,775) by Victoria from USA
Has anyone listened to Finding Hope's 3:00 a.m.? It's probably a song everyone has already heard. I just know it's the first non Miss Carey song that I'm really gonna enjoy this summer.

Re: Andrew's one trick pony (97,766) (97,770) by Leo from LAMBville
After months of reading the message board I figured I'd throw my 2 cents into the ring of comments about Andrew. I will disregard any reply with his reaction to the post as personal enjoyment; as my opinion he feeds from reaction and self appointed superiority.

I have went back and read months of posts from Andrew and his commentary and interactions are flat out mean spirited and combative to both the forum community and directed at Mariah herself. We do understand "Mariah" is a product, not just physical merchandise but the act of Mariah is something that a lot of us do subscribe to, the "eternally 12" to her high diva moments. I do agree to some points he has made as we all have level of critique to everything in life music, celebrities, food, weather etc. However, Andrew time and time again finds his lack of true personal skills to push others down to lift himself up.

He is very intelligent, maybe very educated but his social ineptitude appears may be driven by lack of personal acceptance?

I would enjoy his well written and journalistic approach to valid critiques of Mariah projects and others opinions (even if disagree) if it wasn't for the majority uncouth interactions. We believe others perceive us as we see ourselves. What an ultimate let down.

I encourage anyone who may feel the same way to not even engage to his quoted replies. If you have a difference of opinion or belief communicate it with the respect that you're entitled to your thought process but can do it without being a clown.

Stay Blessed!

I replied to a message aimed at me on a message board. You're so busy you read it. You're a silly little kid. Don't call me bro. You can call me Sir. Because I know stuff.

Re: Stokley Williams (97,764) (97,767) by Leo from LAMBville
So after some light research, Stokley Williams does some studio drums and vocal work for various artists. No credits found to Williams for any of Mariah’s stuff that has been released, however has been listed for co-vocals on a remake of AIWFCIY by an artist by the name of "PJ Morton".

Interesting find though Lamb. Sounds like just putting big names to themselves to look more versed in the industry, or a project that was never released or talked about still in the vault.

Re: Andrew's one trick pony (97,760) (97,766) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
"Mariah's 'eternally 12' has to do with her trauma, not her age."

Quote where she has said this. Or you are just extrapolating loosely to defend it.

"She's been saying this since her 20's."

Since her birth year was possibly altered. Yes.

"...which has to do with combating ageism, not just a singular year."

So above you said it was not changed due to her age, it was her trauma. But look here, it's now because of her age (but it's because of other peoples view of it so, heyyyy, totally innocent).

"I hate to break it to you, Andrew, but the music industry's PR has always tried to make their stars as young as conceivable."

You aren't breaking anything to me, accept a level of unwarranted smugness.

"They are well aware of ageism in the industry. When Eminem came out they passed him off as 25 instead of 27. Nicki Minaj was passed off as 24 at 28. J.Lo was also promoted to be 28 when she was 30. Most of their true ages weren't revealed until they were arrested. Others came out in time and nobody noticed. They just started printing the right age."

So it was not about all of their own "traumas"? How strange.

"Mariah was hired during a time period when women were considered 'over' the moment they hit 30."

Over at 30? Quote your sources. Because it's bollocks.

"If a woman was still riding a fame wave when that happened than her days were considered numbered. You can ask Madonna all about that struggle."

Shall I quote how many female artists have had success over the age of thirty? The issue is that younger people also deserve their time in the lime-light and there's only so much capacity in the industry.

"This is why many singers turned actress."

I "hate to break it to you". Mariah did not turn "actress" in order to get work, don't waste my time. She did it because of vanity.

Come at me with truth and fact, not opinions designed to defend someone under the idea of intersectional politics. Don't waste my time.

Re: Andrew's one trick pony (97,762) (97,765) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes your point is coming across properly. Thanks. The market often gets me with the 19.99 trick. Personally I think the youth madness is totally overrated because for my taste people are really getting interesting at their late twenties and at 30. Of course Mariah had charisma since day one but was getting more and more interesting too.

Stokley Williams (97,764) by Bobby A from United States
I was reading Stokley Williams' website. He is the lead singer and drummer of the band Mint Condition. His biography says that he has done studio work with MC. I can't figure out what song he worked on with MC. Does anybody know?
